Traditional fighting game gameplay
Super Dragonball Z plays very similarly to other popular games in the fighting genre, including Mortal Kombat and Tekken. Close hand-to-hand combat makes up the bulk of fights with specific button combinations allowing players to deal large amounts of successive damage in one go. Players can also dash, juggle, and use super moves to gain an advantage over their opponents.
The great thing about Super Dragonball Z is that players can not only move towards and away from one another but can also take advantage of the 3D environment to move left and right out of the way of attacks. When players move in this way, the camera auto-adjusts so that it always keeps everyone in view.
Next up, the characters…
As you might expect, all of the playable characters are taken from the Dragon Ball series, including all the most well-known characters, such as Goku and Vegeta. There are 18 characters in total, some of which will need to be unlocked using Dragon Balls which can be earned through playing, adding an extra challenge to the game.Super Dragonball Z even has a character customizer for players to make their own fighters for use in the various game modes. There are 30 slots available for custom characters that should be more than enough for most players.
